The Beach at Inch

The village of Inch on the south coast of the Dingle peninsular boasts this beautiful 4 mile long sandy beach. It was settled by Iron-Age beach dwellers.

Later it was a much used place by 18th century shipwreckers.

More recently it was used as locations for Ryan's Daughter as was Dunquin right on the head  of the Peninsular, where a whole village was built as a film set.  The only part that remains now is the schoolhouse.  Inch was also used for The Playboy of the Western World.
