Powerscourt Waterfall

This waterfall on the Powerscout Estate near Enniskerry County Wicklow, is the highest waterfall in Ireland.  The River Dargle falls 398ft into the pool at the bottom.

Several films have used the estate for some or all of their scenes including John Boorman's Excalibur,
and Laurence Olivier's Henry V.

Japanese sika deer have been introduced into the deer park in the late 19th century.

Three miles from the waterfall are the Powerscourt Gardens which is also open to visitors.

There is a visitors centre here.
