Crag Cave

Crag Cave (Crag means rock in Irish) is a relatively new discovery.  It is a fossil cave system with many stalagmites and stalactites.  Many of the features have special names the largest cave, Minas Tirith, is now associated with the story of Diarmuid and Gráinne, one of Ireland's most famous love legends which is part of the North Kerry folklore.

You can hear the sounds of underground streams.  The caves system is one of the longest in Ireland at over 2 miles long.

It is open to the public and there is a shop and cafe.

There are also interesting sea caves east of Ballyplymouth 2 miles (3.2km).
